I haven't been posting much in blogland lately but I have been doing lots of stuff! I promise!
Mainly I've been knitting away and doing some school work. I've also been lucky enough to not have to do jury duty this week! =] Horray!
(Not that I really would have minded too much but I would rather not..ya know?)
So first off, I was able to fit into my jeans again for the first time in month and months. It was a lovely feeling (though still tight). It's nice to know I'm making progress. I'll have to watch myself better next winter because apparently that thing about weight gain with loss of appetite (a side affect of my hypothyroidism) is actually a legitimate thing. Go figure..right? But now that I'm seeing some progress I'm feeling even more motivated to keep a active. (p.s. that shirt is a thrift store find! Love it!) However, being active clashes with my knitting time. Hum...I still have to figure out a good middle ground for that. Humf!
Here is a picture of my pretty kitty, Dusty. She's been really love-y lately so I've been around her more often. Pretty adorable huh? =]
In knitting news I finished my Helm's Deep (Finished Project Review Post to come when I get to a photoshoot)! I'm really happy with the finished results. It was a lot of work and it's massive (21" x 76") so it's a relief to have it done. Here's another picture:
I've already started work on another shawl. It's the Stockholm Scarf pattern by Knitted Bliss but I decided to make it into a stole by simply not knitting it in the round. I'm making pretty good progress on it as it's my public/social knitting project.
I am really enjoying this pattern. I love scarves and shawls that are reversible (because who wants to constantly fuss with your accessory?) so this one is really my cup of tea. This yarn was donated to my church so this stole is going back to the church to be donated to someone who needs a yarn hug.
I'm almost done with another project. Teddy Bear by Debbie Bliss. I'm just waiting on felt so I can make the eyes and nose. I can't wait to see this guy finished. I'm really happy with how he is turning out and I hope that he doesn't look funky. I'm pretty nervous about the fact because well...that will make or break him!
Well that's about it! I hope to update soon with the Helm's Deep post. I'm having a hard time finding a good place to take the photos. There aren't really any beautiful places or parks close to where I live. After all...it is a desert. I'm still looking though! =]
Hope you are doing great!
Love,
LeeAnn

Wow, you've got some knitting going there. Love the Helm's Deep. Pretty color.
Very pretty kitty! Give him a scritch for me :)
I'm planning to weave all my ends in watching TV in bed.
At least, that's the current plan.
Happy knitting!
Very nice entry. I wonder why Dusty is so nice lately. I like your Teddy Bear. It is cute.
Good job

@yodafatkitty
Thank you and I'll give my pretty kitty a scritch from you. I'm sure she'll love it! =]
The T.V. weaving is a great idea! I tend to get an urge to do something mindless and that is when I do my end weaving. =P
Thanks daddy! I can't wait till he's done, he's already too cute! =]
I'll probably have to end up making one for myself, haha!
You may want to think about making teddys for your nieces/nephew for this Christmas! Bet they would love it!
