Project Details and Feedback
Duration of Project: March 6th to March 10th, 2011
Made for:  An unknown baby boy. =]

Modifications:  The only modification I did was knit the ears in the round.  I didn't want to sew up yet more edges so I just did it in the round instead of flat and I'm glad I did. (Oh, I used a US 3 because the size called for was between a US 2 and US 3 and I'm usually a tighter knitter than gauges.)
Make this pattern again? Yes indeed.  I'm trying to think of a way of making it in mainly one piece and in the round (in st st instead of garter stitch probably).  I have to think on it because if I can find a way to do that I can really cut down on time spent and yardage used to make this.
Final thoughts/ recommendations: I love him.  I wasn't sure the whole way through if I would like him at all.  It even took me a few hours after I got the eyes and nose on (which are navy blue instead of black) to really start seeing him as a whole teddy instead of a bunch of knitted parts  I am now so smitten with him, he's adorable! I'll definitely be making more even if I can't find an easier way to do it.

What I learned/practiced in this pattern: I practiced sewing up seems. I also worked with stuffing my first time and sewing on the felt pieces.

Love,
LeeAnn

Teddy sure is a cutie :) He looks awful comfortable lazying around the house--in my chair, in the bed...we may just have to adopt him!
