Project Details and Feedback
Duration of Project: January 18th to January 27th, 2011
Made for: Stephanie's little girl, Jasmine Rose
Modifications: Where to begin...this project had more mistakes then modifications (hence the name). Okay so I stopped about 8 rows sooner on the yoke then I thought I needed to stop because I had enough stitches on my needles to move on.  I realized  that the wording of the very first section was off because she used the term "either".  Just tell me what I'm supposed to do Ms. Designer. >_<
Anyway,  for that first repeat section I should have not increase for both RS and WS row but for on rows that I felt like increasing on as long as it had the right amount of stitches at the end...whatever... (I'm pretty sure that is how it is supposed to be).
Sigh...  So I just said, I have enough stitches, let's continue on with the pattern.  Everything was going good until I realized that for the section part of the lace section (rows 12-24, when you switch to larger needles) I wasn't accurately reading the chart.  So the middle section of lace, instead of the eyelets going strait down along the left side of the panels, mine go diagonally across. For the last section (lace rows 1-17 again) I only went to row 11 because I was just ready to bind off.
Despite these silly mistakes I am very happy with the result and can't wait to give it away!

Make this pattern again? No, I don't think so.  The instructions weren't all that spectacular and though the pattern is cute there are so many other baby patterns that are cute or just as cute for me to try out.
What I learned/practiced in this pattern: I learned the importance of counting stitches (though I doubt it still hasn't sunk in enough for me to actually do it., haha). I also learned that I should double check that I'm doing the lace chart right in the second row of it...not the seventh! =P

Final thoughts/ recommendations: Make sure you count all the stitches when they give you a stitch count because the instructions are rather wonky.
I really do love patterns that are worked like this from the top down with the little cap sleeves.  They are so crisp looking and easy to make.  I also learned to just go with it and hope that it works if it still is looking right.  Though I made so many mistakes, no one but me and mommy will really know it and this is still a really cute little cardigan! =]

Thank you mommy. But I still don't think it's a new design.
