Project Details and Feedback
Duration of Project: July 12th, 2010 - July 15th, 2010
Modifications:
For the base I used US 6 dpns. I was so excited to get to the Body that I forgot to do the last knit around with 25 sts on each needle.
My knitting seemed to be really tight because when I was supposed to switch to the 16” circular I could barely get it on a US 7, 14”. However the bag stretches so much that my tight knitting didn’t seem to affect it.
For the body I switched to US 10, 16” circular needles and did 19 repeats.
I did one repeat of the Top/Cuff with the US 10 needles then switched to US 8, 14” circular needles and did three more repeats with those.
For the strap/handle I did 9 instead of 10 stitches and instead of decreasing I just kept it at 9 stitches wide the whole strap.
To join the strap I did a 3-needle BO. I also added a button on that BO point.
Make this pattern again?: Yes indeed! I really liked this pattern and the instructions were easy to follow.  I will be doing other market bags before I do this one again.  I personally do not like bags that have a circular bottom.

(Many thanks to my handsome, extremely tolerant model!)

LeeAnn

This is such a nice bag! The girls are gonna love having a chance to win it. How will you pry it from Vlad's hot little (ha!) hands?

I'm sure it will be more difficult prying it from my hands =P
