Valentines Day 2011 and project update.

My, my, my...it's been awhile...

I finally managed to get my pictures from my camera onto my computer so I'm going to do an update!

First thing I wanna mention was, drum roll please...

[drum roll sound]

I had an absolutely wonderful Valentines Day this year (again)! Mommy and daddy always make sure that I  have a special Valentines Day.  It's really a wonderful thing for me.  This year we celebrated it a day early because daddy was travelling on Valentines Day.  Daddy has been traveling a lot.  It really sucks.

This year, mommy got me yummy candies.  The kind that you don't usually get for yourself but always kind of crave.  Daddy went all out this year.  I was astounded when I opened my present and found a set of pearls. Yes, a set of pearls!  I've been going on for awhile about how I need pearls and dresses so I can bake even better (1950's house wife style).

Wow, right!?  I love them! I find any excuse to wear them.  (I wore them when we went thrift store shopping even, haha!)  All I need is more dresses and the ability to style my hair and I'll be a perfect housewife! ha!  

Anyway, thank you mommy and daddy for another absolutely wonderful Valentines Day!

In yarn news I've been working on two big projects at the same time.  So I have needed to take a couple breaks and therefore have a few blog posts lined up (one of the hooky and one almost off the needles)- more on that later!  

One of my big projects is a shawl.  This shawl is going to be pretty massive. Some people that did this pattern got a shawl that measures 20 inches by 90 inches (it's a stole)! Crazy eh?  I am excited about it still and I can't wait to see how it comes out.  Wanna see a picture of a bit of it? Okay..

My other big project is a sweater for mommy. It's another Aidez but I am doing it in different cables so that me and mommy don't completely match when we wear them at the same time! lol!

I'm working on the fronts now. Here is a picture of my finished back piece.

I'm really happy with how it is turning out! =]

It's been beautiful weather and I hope it rains again before it gets hot this year!
