So lately I have been wanting to make beautiful creations with yarn but have been not necessarily uninspired but I just couldn't pick up the needles. This definitely needed to be fixed...because if there is one thing I am, it is definitely a knitter/crocheter. So in order to get my hands to pick up those needles I decided to read a book called "The Friday Night Knitting Club" by Kate Jacobs (book review coming soon!). And let me tell you, did that do the trick or what!? Not even 10 minutes after I put the book down did I start casting on. Here are some pictures, enjoy!

Things are looking up...
So a few things to say:
- My projects and exams are done for now...YAY!!! But that's the big rush until finals! Awesome! I just have my TEAS testing to prepare for and that's in the morning of April 17.
- I am trying to give myself the knitting/crocheting bug again so I am probably going to get the book The Friday Night Knitting Club by Kate Jacobs! It will probably give me some inspiring ideas for the needlework (knitting and crocheting) club that my mother and I are working on organizing. If I get it I'll write a review and let you know what I think! =)
- I got a new car!!! Yep, that's right! My parents got me a new car. Seeing as I live in Arizona and it's getting close to summer weather already they felt that I needed a car with airconditioning (and airbags). The result of this thinking was my new baby: an '06 Honda Accord Coupe. She is so beautiful! Thank you so much mommy and daddy, I really appreciate it and I love you both.
- Just for fun....here is a sneak peak at a project I've been working on, on and off...it will still take awhile for this thingy to be done. booo!
My Striped Slouchy Hat
My Striped Slouchy Hat
Pattern: My Striped Slouchy Hat (My Ravelry Project Page)
Size made: One size fits all
Craft: Knit
Materials
Needle used: US 5 (3.75mm); US 7 (4.5 mm)
Yarn used: Loops and Thread Impeccable Solids
Color: Navy and True Blue
Bought at: Michaels
Use yarn again? Yes but this yarn is very stiff so I will have to choose the next project I use it for with great care.
Project Details and Feedback
Duration of Project: January 24th to approximately March 26th
Modifications: So I accidentally did 10 rows instead of 8 on one of my repeats in color A and B so for the last 3 color switches I did only 7 rows each.
Make this pattern again? I don't think I will. It is a VERY slouchy hat...way too slouchy on me that's for sure. If someone requests it though then I probably would but this is a very repetitive pattern...only knit pretty much.
