Make this pattern again?  I do think so.  This is a wonderful hat!  I think it would be perfect for a male or female recipient.  It is also very fast and pretty satisfying.  I'm really happy with patterns that have a short crown shaping.  Long crown shaping just about drives me crazy.  I think next time I would make it a bit longer than the 7" called for before the crown shaping because it seems a bit short when the brim is folded up (but probably only for a male).  I prefer how this feels with the brim down and it being slightly slouchy.  I think that it would be really warm like that with the brim bunched a tid bit.

What I learned/practiced in this pattern:Waffle stitch (not much learning, more of a practice of knitting and purling, haha)

Love,
LeeAnn
