Use yarn again? Yes indeed. This yarn was nice to knit with and though it's scratch it is so very warm. I don't think I would ever use this yarn for a cowl or scarf but for a sweater is great. I plan to make a hat out of the leftover yarn (hopefully there is enough). I am really happy with this yarn for the price paid (plus I got a discount!) I also love how this yarn is packaged in such big amounts so there is much less times I have to splice hanks/skeins together.
Also, I just wanted to mention that the color for this yarn is so beautiful. They are so interesting and have so much than just the green. I do wish that Cascade would create names for them though because that would be cool to see what they name them. But, until they do, I shall dub this one Sea Creature! =]

Modifications: I used a different size needle to get gauge. I also ended up blocking my sleeves half an inch longer. For the decrease at the top of the back I wanted a full trellis and it would have decreased into the trellis pattern so (because I also needed to add four rows to get the measurement needed) I added the rows near the 12th and 13th decrease so that I could get past the edge of the diamond before decreasing...if that makes sense(?).
Make this pattern again? Oh yes indeed. I think it is so lovely. This cardigan is a very tight fitting cardigan so when you make it, keep that in mind. I personally prefer it tighter but I am hoping that it will still stretch out a bit particularly the sleeves and armholes. I already have this pattern in my queue and the yarn is bought. I will be making a cardigan for my mom and I plan in doing the pattern in one size up for her and maybe the sleeves two sizes up so that it is very comfortable. I'll have to look into it more when I go to start it but I think that would be best.
What I learned/practiced in this pattern: I learned the construction of a raglan sleeve sweater. how to do a mattress seam, and how to 'work to correspond to left front, reversing all shaping and placement of pattern stitches.' (For that I just wish they could have written it out but I figured it out). I also practiced cables and learned a few new ones.
I really loved making this sweater and am so pleased with the results. I also wanted to do a quick shout-out to my boyfriend who was so patient and took tons of pictures for me, even though he really does not like it and my camera is super finicky. Thanks Vlady! Oh, and I wanted to do another shout-out to my mommy and daddy who bought this yarn for me. Thank you SO much!

Lovely job - a quick question, though....what would you consider your knitting skill level to be? I am going to Ireland shortly and want to buy yarns, Aidez is on my short list of patterns for the yarn. I am a relatively new knitter and I don't think I'm ready for Aidez yet, but I've read the pattern and I understand it so that seems to be a good omen!

I think that my skill level is advanced beginner, maybe intermediate, if I am bold enough to say so. =]
I am pretty good at reading charts and keeping track of where I am it charts. However, this was my first sweater. Ever.
I admit I had to really take time to think through it when they said 'work to correspond to left front, reversing all shaping and placement of pattern stitches.' I was also on a deadline for it so I didn't go and get help from my LYS. I really think that this could be done for most knitters. I don't know how much experience you have with knitting. If you check out my ravelry projects I have everything recorded that I have done so maybe that could help give you an idea too.
I think that this is a really good beginner sweater because it is pretty fast so it doesn't really discourage you.

p.s. I really do suggest going up a sleeve size if you don't like tight sleeves. I like tight sleeves and mine are actually pushing my limit for tightness.

I am currently working on Aidez and have just started the right front. I am confused about the reverse shaping and placement of pattern stitches. I was hoping you could go into a little more detail about what exactly you did. Do you read the stitch pattern backwards, like from the end to the beginning?
I have googled and searched revelry but can't find any help for my little dilemma.

Okay what I did was visualize it in my mind (simultaneously pulling up the picture of it on my computer-haha!) what it is supposed to look like. So I looked out how the stitches lay for the left one (the first side I did) and it says for the bust 36" to K6 (the side of the front by the side seam), do the Ear of Corn Pat, then the Seed Wishbone pattern then another ear of corn Pattern, then it says K3 (this is the side that is in front, the edge where buttons would be if there were buttons).
So to do the right is says reverse shaping and placement of pattern stitches. The designer tells you how to do the reverse shaping when it comes to it in the pattern (i.e. BO this many on the WS -not RS seen in the Left Front- row and when to do SSK, then K2 at the end of the row instead of the K2tog, K2 at the beginning of the RS row that is seen on the Left one).
When you come to those reverse shapings you are pretty far in the pattern and have an idea of how it's supposed to look. So that's pretty simple and you'll get it, I promise!
The reverse of the pattern stitches is where I used the picture on my computer. I laid my finished left one flat in front of me and made sure it was the opposite of that. Here is my establish Pattern Stitches Row 1(RS) for the size 36" on the Right Front:
K2, K1BL, place marker, work Row 1 of Ear of Corn Pat over 8 sts, place marker, K1TBL, work Row 1 of Seed Wishbone over 12 sts, K1TBL, place marker, work Row 1 of Ear of Corn pattern, place marker, K1TBL, K6.
So again that is for the size 36". The only difference in the sizes for this would be the last K6. The pattern says K3(6-9-12-15-18).
Front this row you just keep knitting in those cable patterns for each section.
