Craft: Knit

Materials

Needle used: US 5 circular (32" I think)

Yarn used: Lion Brand Wool-Ease Solids & Heathers

Color: 402 Wheat

Bought at: Michael's 

Use yarn again? Yep, but I have extremely sensitive skin and will need to wear this cowl with a high cut shirt because of the texture, but should be very very warm.

Project Details and Feedback

Duration of Project: February 23rd to April 22nd 2010

Modifications: Accidentally did a K1P1 ribbing border instead of the k2p2 that was called for.  Instead of repeating the knit around rows until cowl measured 15 1/4" I stopped at 8" and then continued with the border.

Make this pattern again? This is a very basic (and rather tedious) cowl.  I think that it was a very good cowl for a first-time cowl maker but I am sure I can find better patterns from now on.

Cowl 2- Ravenclaw POA (Prisoner of Azkaban) Cowl

*EDIT* ...Turns out daddy really likes it! It's now his!
This was going to be a scarf for my boy, Vlady. Then I realized that the reason why I wasn’t being very motivated to make this was that he doesn’t really wear scarfs. He wears beanies.

...So I saw that someone got sick of making their scarf as well and decided turned it into a cowl.

Since mine was pretty much big enough I decided to try it out too instead of frogging it (pulling it apart)! =)

I like how it turned out a lot! I will just have to get used to the feeling of cowls. It is definitely for cold weather...cold weather that is not very common in "lovely" Phoenix, Arizona! haha!

  The color is more like this one (below). I really like how this turned out!

I might make myself a Slytherin scarf, but skinnier and smaller than called for.

I don't know though...I don't know if I would be a Slytherin or Griffendor or Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw! =P

Guess we'll never know, eh?

Cowl 1- Hooded Cowl (for mommy)

This is my Hooded Cowl FO. Mommy is my beautiful model and the recipiant of the cowl!

The color is much more like the first two.

Couldn't seem to get the camera to take the picture right! haha!

I enjoyed this pattern and might do another one in a different color for mommy again.
