Here is an exert from my new blog: 101 Ways in 1001 Days

101 Was in 1001 Days: a better me from the inside out, by LeeAnn Schaefer.

I have decided that it is time for me to really keep track of my life and who I am.  This will be my tool: 101 in 1001. Here is some information on it if you haven't heard of it before.

Welcome to Day Zero, the home of the 1001 Day Project. A unique challenge that inspires you to set and achieve your personal goals in life.

The Challenge:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple challenges such as New Year's resolutions or a 'Bucket List'. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips, study semesters, or outdoor activities.
I have spent many hours seriously considering what I want on this list. I wanted all of my tasks to be achievable and practical.  My start date is today: 28 May 2010, my finish date is 23 February 2013.  Before I started making this list I thought to myself, "What will I be doing [hopefully] in February of 2013?" Well if everything goes according to plan, I will be out of college for a mere 2 months.  Keeping this in mind, I wanted to make goals that did not involve money if at all possible. In order to do this I focused on what I am doing now and perfecting myself and making myself into an adult.  Another thing I considered is that I will be turning twenty in about five days.  This means I will no longer be a teenager.  It's time I start really being the adult I think I am.  Without further delay, here is my list:

Educational/Carree/Financial Goals: 1-10
Artistic Goals: 11-39

Thanks.

Yeah, I really think I can do this list.
I'm actually pretty nervous about the 11 shawls in 2011! (#15)

Love,
